Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s return-to-office mandate is adding to tensions at the Virginia Department of Health, where at least two employees say they’ve been asked to hand over medical documents to the state’s health commissioner to support requests to work remotely for the next year.

Virginia abortion providers expect increase in out-of-state patients following Dobbs decision  Reported by VPM News’ Meg Schiffres 

Following the Supreme Court’s decision to repeal Roe v. Wade on Friday, abortion providers in Virginia are preparing for an influx of patients from neighboring states where the procedure is now illegal. Thirteen states already have legislation in place to ban all or nearly all abortions that was triggered by the case’s repeal, according to the Guttmacher Institute.

Northern Virginia developer plans to turn a Norfolk trailer park into luxury apartments  Reported by WHRO News’ Ryan Murphy 

Bonaventure Realty bought Smitty’s Mobile Home Park back in April with plans to develop more than 400 high-end apartments on the site. The plan will result in more housing units for Norfolk overall, but fewer affordable ones in a city that has struggled for years with housing affordability.
